String Theory: Guitar Obsessed is a fun, engaging watch—even for someone like me who doesn't play guitar. It highlights how deeply personal guitar playing is for so many people. What really struck me was the repartee between Randy and Jarett. Their back-and-forth gave the film an easy rhythm that kept the documentary entertaining and lighthearted. I loved hearing the stories from guitar makers, internet teachers, and a few unexpected guests. Seeing a former FBI Deputy Director talk about his love of playing guitar was surprising and engaging.

This is a fun, interesting and engaging take on how guitars are viewed in our society. It never takes itself too seriously, but still manages to be an intelligent discourse between guitar enthusiasts from a variety of backgrounds on how and why guitars are, well, simply put, cool! Which sounds obvious, but this … documentary? vlog? movie? whatever you want to call it … manages to include some actual “brain science” explaining just why music in general and guitars in particular are not just cool, but good for your soul. All music teachers should share this with their students! And anyone who has ever even had a passing thought of, “hey, I should learn guitar” should watch this!

The entire concept of the documentary was brilliant! I am a huge fan of documentaries and this one was excellent. Very entertaining, informative, educational and incredible interviews and insight. The stories of the history of guitars, the musicians, and how the way guitar playing brings everyone together as one shared community. Amazing in every way and I highly recommend this documentary

A great movie that is both educational and funny. Amazing to see the people that appear and explain their love of guitar. And, if you haven't put a guitar behind you in your meetings, you will after you see this.

Maybe you noticed it during Zoom meetings - what's up with all those guitars in the background? Somebody has solved the mystery. A must for those with guitars and those without.

String Theory: Guitar Obsessed is a fantastic documentary exploring what makes the guitar so enduringly popular. As a guitar teacher I’ve seen firsthand how this instrument builds confidence in kids, helps teens find their voice, and gives adults new and meaningful goals to pursue. Jarett and Randy are a great team with infectious enthusiasm, and the action is fun and fast paced as they interview iconic guitar makers, sellers, teachers, and of course the Deputy Director of the FBI! If there’s one good thing to come out of the Covid era, it’s the guitar’s incredible comeback—and that’s one conspiracy I’m happy to believe!"

This is crazy to me how much my wife and I loved String Theory. We are not musicians in any way shape or form. But we were immediately captivated by this documentary's wit, fun facts, life stories and charm. The kicker is, as soon as it ended she said to me "Looks like we are getting guitars!" .. the next day we were at a music store purchasing 2 acoustic electric guitars and haven't put them down since! We thank the guys at String Theory for getting us a start in our new hobby! We now spend time together and days in the park playing! Going at our own pace and we're not too shabby. Thank you Jarett and Randy of String Theory: Guitar Obsessed! Loved it!!
