MARK AGNESI

Mark Agnesi started playing the guitar at 8 and never looked back.  He played in many bands throughout high school, and at 18 years old, moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University where he graduated with a Bachlor’s degree in Music Business and immediately moved to Los Angeles.

D'Angelico Guitars Founded in 1932, D’Angelico Guitars is a New York City-based guitar brand built on the history of one of the most revered luthiers of all time. D’Angelico instruments were strictly hand-made, and in very limited quantities. During the late 1930s, when production was at its peak, D’Angelico made approximately 35 instruments per year with the help of only two workers. 

In the D’Angelico brand had been purchased and a support system of new management, state of the art manufacturing, warehousing and distribution infrastructure was built. By 2017, the brand had grown notably.

Crispin Weir

Crispin Weir is the owner of Regent Sounds, Iconic Recording Studio and Guitar Store in London UK. Nate Westgor

Nate Westgor - Orphaned in high school, Nate Westgor went on to do what his parents feared…he sang in various rock bands and toured across the Midwest. He began finding vintage guitars and reselling them in Chicago as well as doing guitar repair for The Sound Post.

Moving to St Paul in 1986 he brought his reputation and love for vintage and repairs with him. Willie DelMar was a stage name given him by “The Hornets” his last band in Chicago. Thus began Willie’s American Guitars with a deep love and respect for the American Icon, the guitar, and those that make a living with it. 

Willie’s American Guitars has for 35 years been dedicated to the art, science, history and tone of the American guitar. Lillian Werbin

Lillian Werbin is the Co-Owner and CEO of Elderly Instruments, a renowned retailer of fretted and stringed musical instruments and a cherished haven for musicians, located in Lansing, Michigan. Tommy Colletti

Tommy Colletti started playing guitar at the age of 12. Lessons quickly progressed into an obsession. By the age of 15, he was teaching at the local music store in Maspeth, Queens. Tommy then studied music at Queens College’s Aaron Copeland School of Music. After graduation, he joined Brooklyn based hard rock band Kingsland. 

The Music Zoo, Inc. opened the doors in its original location in Little Neck, Queens in late March of 1994. In 2011 The Music Zoo moved to a larger location in Roslyn Harbor

Andrew McCabe

Andrew McCabe – Former FBI Acting Director and Deputy Director.  Distinguished visiting Professor at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government.

McCabe first joined the FBI in 1996 after graduating from Duke University and obtaining a J.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis. During his distinguished career, he was on the SWAT team and held management positions in the FBI Counterterrorism Division.

He is now a CNN contributor and has a very successful podcast, JACK.  McCabe is married with two children and aside from playing guitar, he is also a triathlete.

Dr. James Phillips

Dr. James P. Phillips, MD, FACEP is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician in Washington, DC. He graduated from the Harvard Disaster Medicine and Emergency Management Fellowship and later joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School.

He was selected as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and as a Fellow at the Center for Health Security at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Phillips was also an Associate Professor at George Washington University in Washington, DC where he was the Chief of the Disaster and Operational Medicine Section and Director of the Disaster and Operational Medicine Fellowship. 

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Phillips became a leading public health voice on television and was the first physician hired to be a CNN Medical Analyst and subject matter expert on the virus and its impact on US healthcare. 

He has also been deployed internationally to Ukraine, and Nepal, and served for several years as Medical Director and EMS director for Camp Taji, Iraq as a US government contractor.

Gavin Steingo

Gavin Steingo has played guitar most of his life. His first experiences were in a rock band in 1990s South Africa, where he performed regularly at clubs in the Johannesburg area and was occasionally featured on radio and TV. In the late 1990s, he studied with local jazz legend Johnny Fourie and played in the Johannesburg Youth Jazz Orchestra at major events, such as the National Arts Festival.

Gavin is now a full professor of music at Princeton University, where he teaches courses on ethnomusicology, sound studies, and acoustic ecology. With auditory neuroscientist Asif Ghazanfar, he runs The Animal Song Collective, a research unit that explores the idea of animal music from scientific and humanistic perspectives. He has written two books, edited several volumes, and won multiple international academic awards and fellowships. He performs with the electro-country group, Owen Lake and the Tragic Loves, and is developing a novel approach to composition that he calls "perceptualism"

Matt Brounley

Matt Brounley is a musicologist who specializes in the history of popular music and the electric guitar. He received his PhD from Stony Brook University and teaches music history at Rutgers University and Long Island University.

He has presented at numerous international conferences and his written work can be found in The Cambridge Companion to the Electric Guitar and Americas: A Hemispheric Music Journal. 

He has also published articles on the history of electric guitar design and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville brand. In the past, he worked in the musical instrument industry managing large musical instrument stores in New York City. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Jessica and is currently working on a book project about guitar tone. The title is That Sound in Your Head: Guitar Tone Values and Neoliberalism.

Richard E. Boyatzis

Richard E. Boyatzis is Distinguished University Professor of Case Western Reserve University, and a Professor in the Departments of Organizational Behavior, Psychology, and Cognitive Science. He has a BS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard.

His more than 200 scholarly and 50 practitioner articles examine sustained, desired change on leadership, competencies, emotional intelligence, competency development, coaching, neuroscience and management education. Dr. Jack A Gilbert a Professor in Pediatrics and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Associate Vice Chancellor for Marine Science, and Director of both the Microbiome and Metagenomics Center and the Center for Soil Health.

Dr. Gilbert uses molecular analysis to test fundamental hypotheses in microbial ecology. He cofounded the Earth Microbiome Project and American Gut Project. He has authored more than 450 peer reviewed publications and book chapters on microbial ecology. In 2023 he became President of Applied Microbiology International and won the 2023 IFF Microbiome Science Prize.

David Fishof

After working with rock legends such as Roger Daltrey, Ringo Starr, The Monkees, Levon Helm, Joe Walsh, and many other top rockers, David Fishof, launched the Rock n' Roll Camp in 1997, a place where everyday people could reconnect with their passion for music alongside the biggest names in the industry.

A quarter-century later, the camp has provided over 7,000 people from around the globe the opportunity to live their rock star dreams.
